The blogosphere is blowing up over the issue of Superdelegates. Today, the reductio ad absurdum was brought to the forefront when 21-year old Jason Rae of Wisconsin was interviewed on MSNBC.
He's a Superdelegate, and... he got a date with Chelsea Clinton. (I wonder if he made any moves--doesn't sound like the type on the radio...but, I digress.)
Call me biased, but the reason this is a bigger issue that the MILLION people who voted in Florida and those who voted in Michigan is because, at present, it is hurting Obama. When/if they start to flip to him, I'm sure we'll hear it less. But, again, I digress.
The solution is on the flip.

We're a big bunch of hypocrites laughing at the conservatives boo John McCain. Let's face it--a big faction of this party hates Hillary Clinton rabidly and is threatening to throw two year old temper tantrums if they don't get the person they voted for.
More on the flip...
Churning around in the minds of Congressional Dems and the 2008 Presidential candidates has to be what portion of the "blame" they will take for the consequences of a withdrawal from Iraq, whether that withdrawal goes into effect at the end of the Bush administration or during their own.
It's hard to find a decent parallel, and there are many reasons why people dismiss the comparison between Iraq and Vietnam. Personally--and I'm at odds with many progressives here--I feel that the Vietnam War resulted from a series of very bad decisions in implementing a sound, and, ultimately successful policy: Kennan's containment policy. On the other hand, Iraq is merely a boondoggle with no legitimate basis in any sound policy, and, in fact probably set us much further back in anti-proliferation and anti-terrorism than Vietnam ever did in our struggle with so-called communism.
Despite these wonkish hair-splittings, I thought it might be a good analogy to look at the political effects of the fall of Saigon on President Ford, and the effects of withdrawal from Vietnam on Nixon and the cease fire in Korea on Eisenhower...
...on the flip.
Rec'd from the San Luis Obispo County Democratic Central Committee:
At 4 p.m. today, Friday, March 10, Sharon Beery, will announce her intentions to run as the Democratic candidate for the 22nd Congressional District.
I'm no one. I'm an attorney here in town. I've never run for office. However, I don't have any long term aspirations, so I'm ready to take one for the team. I'll fight and I'll play dirty if necessary, but I know I won't win; I don't care.
So, if people wanna help me get on the ballot, and organize some stuff, let me know.
